Battle of the MKIV Toyota Supras! Which Would You Pick?

Sometimes, in between incessant typing and photo editing, some of the editors go back and forth about “this car vs. that car,” and it’s usually based on a couple of past feature cars. So, we got to thinking that it might be fun to see what the fans think by pitting a few of our personal favorites against one another to see which one the masses prefer. Of course, it’s all in good fun and if nothing else, you might come across a feature car you’ve never even seen before and we’ve got the complete story links all warmed up and ready to go for you.
For this first round, it’s an MKIV face-off as these two incredibly clean examples enter the octagon. Head over to our Instagram @motortrend and let us know which one you like better. Here’s some basic info and the story links to their features so you get the full picture:

You don’t see this color very often but when you do, and it’s done right, like Eric Lam’s 1997 model, you can appreciate just how good it really is. Doing it right, in this case, includes a slew of Ridox carbon parts that have been treated to a slightly green clearcoat, AB Flug rear spoiler and Work Mesier S1. Plenty of go-fast goods under the hood, including a Precision 8385 snail and a supporting cast of goods push this MKIV into legendary status. Head over to sister website Super Street to see the full feature.

We spotted Tho Nguyen’s ’94 Turbo model at a local car show and liked that he kept things very subtle with just a carbon front lip added to the body. Of course, the massive slicks out back and all-business wheel selection clued us in to the fact that there was probably more than an air filter and shiny oil cap under the hood. His single turbo converted 2JZ makes almost 1,000 lb-ft of torque and over 1,200 hp all packed into a show-quality engine bay. More than just a pretty face, the car’s been to multiple half-mile and drag events and is often street driven as well. Get his full story over at Super Street.
