Pattern Failures -ETCG1

It seems there are a lot of people out there with information on pattern failures. So much so that I’ve created a new topic on my forum for this very thing. If you know of a pattern failure, feel free to post about it here.

Also know that this information is searchable via the search function on the site. So if your looking for a solution that might be a pattern failure it will come up when you do a search at EricTheCarGuy.com.

After working as a technician for a while I think you develop a sense for pattern failures. A vehicle comes in with a problem you’ve seen before, and you begin to assume what’s wrong. This can save you time, sometimes. Other times, it can really set you back. Sometimes it’s what you THINK you know that kills you. Sometimes it can really save you time. The trick is figuring out which is which. That takes time, and a few failures before you can master that skill. IF you ever master that skill. Either way, pattern failures are something we deal with all the time. What are your thoughts?
